A six-year-old boy is among two people who died as a result of injuries they sustained in a two-vehicle crash in St Elizabeth on Thursday.

The child has been identified as Chris Gallimore of Arlington, St Elizabeth.

The other deceased is said to be the child’s uncle, Joshaun Roye, a 21-year-old resident of Slipe district, also in St Elizabeth.

Police reports are that about 2:15pm, Roye was driving a Toyota Yaris motor vehicle along the Mountainside main road, with young Chris as a passenger.

Further reports are that Roye attempted to overtake another vehicle and collided with a Ford motor truck that was travelling in the opposite direction.

Roye and the child received multiple injuries and were assisted to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

The St Elizabeth police are investigating.
