Dr. Jones is urging motorists to be cautious on the road as the island experiences inclement weather.
According to the latest weather update from the Meteorological Service this morning, a trough and low-level jet stream are expected to linger across the region for the next few days.
Cloudy conditions will persist with periods of showers and thunderstorms, as well as windy conditions mainly in the afternoons.
Dr. Jones is advising motorists to exercise greater caution and slow down to avoid accidents.
