This is the bizarre moment an upset guest rammed his sports car through a hotel’s entrance after staff failed to find his missing laptop in China.
Video shows the white convertible slamming through the doors of the building in the Pudong district of Shanghai on January 10.
The car whizzed around the lobby, knocking over furniture and endangering staff, who ran to avoid being run over by the guest.
In an apparent attempt to flee, the driver then circled back towards the exit, only to smash into a door frame.
Security approached the door and were seen bashing the windows to reach the Audi owner hiding inside.
Local police have identified him as ‘Chen’, 28, who had argued with the staff over the missing laptop.
He is detained in police custody pending investigation.
Staff later said the laptop had been found outside the hotel after being stolen, but did not name a suspect for the theft. No one was reported injured.
