Rushell Clayton led a Jamaican sweep of the podium in the women’s 400m hurdles at the Xiamen Diamond League as the premier one-day series returned to China for the first time in four years on Saturday after the COVID-19 disruptions.
Clayton, who won the bronze medal at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary on August 24, secured victory in a meet-record 53.56.
Andrenette Knight finished second in 53.87 and Janieve Russell, third in 54.01.
The Diamond League heads to Brussels on Sept. 8 before the season concludes in Eugene on Sept. 16-17.
