It is not often that one finds a completely blind person happily taking in the settings and vibes at a major show.

Reggae, soca, dancehall? No, not the really ‘heavy’ stuff, but in live and living colour at the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show now on in May Pen, Clarendon.

Camille Wilson was a picture of confidence in the company of her daughter and other relatives trekking the grounds of the famed property in Clarendon.

She shared with Loop News the realities and overall outcome of her determination to have her cousins visiting from abroad experience the extent and fulfilment of agriculture in Jamaica.

That meant taking them on a guided tour of the showground, including to the animal exhibition area, where Wilson, with some amount of guidance herself, got a hands-on experience of the exhibitions.

So bubbly she was that it made a hit around her surroundings as she moved along, cooly relating to the various settings.

Watch as she outlines her experience, including connecting with the cow, ‘Oreo’, with the use of her functional senses and the support of her on-site guide.
