The highly anticipated Campari Dirty Crushh party – popular in Negril, Westmoreland – had a two-pronged approach to its fifth staging.

Naturally, one was for the party of a lifetime, fuelled by Campari, but the other was to launch the Dream Weekend 2024 line-up. All roads lead to Negril for the event.

The Sandcastle Entertainment-produced event has been backed by the Campari and Dream Weekend producers for the second year running.

The Westmoreland calendar event featured a live performance from rising dancehall artiste Roze Don, as well as music from top deejays including Bloodline Franco and Brush 1 The Road Marshal, Heavy D from Chromatic, Macky and Gemini from Negril and Party Crushaz from Savanna La Mar.

‘Having Campari and Dream Weekend on board has really elevated our brand and opened more opportunities to us. It gives us encouragement as it shows that we have been putting in the work, for major brands such as those to align with us,’ this, according to Robert Porter, director, Sandcastle Entertainment.

Dream Entertainment Ltd Group Managing Director Scott Dunn explained why the team felt it important to align with an event within the western region.

‘Negril is home. The promoters of Dirty Crushh and their patrons support Dream Weekend year in, year out, so it’s important for us to return that support. We consider ourselves part of the community and showing up in the community is an important part of our engagement. Dream Weekend is a well-respected brand, so whenever we can use it to strengthen other well-run events, we will. We hope it will add credibility to these events from the community, sponsors, and patrons,’ he said.

The deejays cycled through different genres pulling on the hits from varying eras of music, laying the foundation for Roze Don’s upcoming performance.

The fans reaction proved he is beloved; he delivered his hits including the crowd-pleasing Bakshat and Likkle Bit.

Dream Weekend 2024 is set for August 2 – 6, in Negril with eight events over five days.
