Due to the restrictions placed on gatherings to stem the spread of the coronavirus, the iconic Expo Jamaica will stage a Virtual Business 2 Business (B2B) Series of Meetings on October 27, 2021, under the theme, “A Vision of the Future”.

Organised by the Jamaica Manufacturers and Exporters Association (JMEA), Expo Jamaica is the largest biennial trade show of its kind in the Caribbean.

The JMEA said the association and its partners saw the need to host Expo Jamaica 2021 and pivot to a virtual format that will offer local suppliers the visibility and platform needed to safely showcase their businesses and products to buyers on a global scale.

The Virtual B2B Meetings will be staged on a secured, tried, tested and proven platform which has played host to numerous international large format conferences and expos.

It will provide regional and global buyers with the virtual opportunity to facilitate multiple meetings irrespective of geographic location.

It will also safely connect them with 100 suppliers of authentic Jamaican products from various industries. These products include farm-fresh produce, therapeutic teas, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, processed foods, signature sauces and condiments, first-class furniture and bedding, plant-based beauty products, exotic gems and jewellery, pharmaceuticals and life-enhancing nutraceuticals.

Buyers have shown strong interest, and several local suppliers have already committed to participate in the event, the JMA said in a release.

Expo Jamaica 2021 will play a fundamental role in assisting the nation on its path to recovery, the JMEA added.

It also said that Expo Jamaica is guaranteed to channel a multi-sectorial exposition that will allow manufacturers and exporters of various industries to meet with prospective buyers regionally and internationally through its planned virtual B2B Meetings.

The show is being staged in collaboration with the strong commitment and support from its long-standing partner National Commercial Bank Jamaica (NCB) and the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO).

The JMEA led event has positioned its theme around members finding global solutions and optimising business opportunities.
