Gasoline up $3.06, diesel up $4.50 | Loop Jamaica

Motorists are to pay more for gasoline and even higher for diesel fuel when they fill up at the pumps as of Thursday, March 24.

The latest round of increases is contained in the latest price listing released on Wednesday by the state-owned oil refinery, Petrojam.

According to the listing, 87-octane gasoline is up in price by $3.06, and will be sold this week for $186.98 per litre, while 90-octane is also up in price by $3.06, and will be sold for $191.97 per litre.

Automotive diesel fuel will be sold for $192.45 per litre following an increase of $4.50, while ultra-low sulphur diesel is also up by $4.50, and will be sold for $196.93 per litre.

Users of kerosene are also faced with an increase of $4.50. The commodity will be sold for $167.05 per litre this week.

Meanwhile, propane liquid petroleum will be sold for $78.80 per litre, down by $3.06, and butane liquid petroleum will be sold for $89.74 per litre, down by $1.32.

The marketing companies and retailers will add their respective mark-ups to the prices from Petrojam.
