Grace Foods will bring Jamaicans together for a day of food, fun, and giving back, at its inaugural Grace Food Festival, set for Saturday, August 24, at Hope Gardens in Kingston.
In keeping with GraceKennedy’s commitment to investing in the communities it serves around the world, Grace Foods will contribute proceeds from the festival to a Jamaican charitable organisation.
Karen Mussington, Sponsorship and Events Manager, Grace Foods explained that the charitable donation aspect of the festival will be community driven, “One of our guiding philosophies at GraceKennedy is our “we care” mantra. It is central to everything that we do, which makes giving back to our community a core focus for us. To ensure our donation truly benefits those in need, we’re seeking input from our valued consumers. We invite them to share their recommendations for charities making a real difference in communities across Jamaica.”
Members of the public should nominate their preferred charity for support via Grace Foods’ Instagram page, @gracefoods.
Mussington, who is the festival lead, also shared that the Grace Food Festival will be a fun-filled day for the entire family. Guests can look forward to thrilling rides, games, and a vibrant shopping village stocked with Grace products, back-to-school essentials, and more. A diverse culinary experience awaits, with a delicious food court and captivating cooking demonstrations by top local chefs. To cap off the festivities, a stellar lineup of Jamaican entertainment, including Ding Dong, Alaine, and Rhoda Isabella, will take the stage.
“We invite everyone to come out and enjoy the day with us. Grace Foods is all about family and celebrating the rich cultural heritage that is so unique to us as Jamaicans. Eat, drink, and make lots of memories with family and friends, all while contributing to a worthy cause,” Mussington said.
Admission to the festival is free for children under 12. Adults can access the festival at no cost with four Grace labels or by paying a $1000 admission fee.
