Belgian club, Cercle Brugge has announced the signing of Jamaican footballer Tarick Ximines from Mount Pleasant.

The 18-year-old right back, who played twice for his country, signed a contract until 2025, with an option for a further year.

The club stated that Ximines will be registered with the Cercle B team for the remainder of the 2022/2023 season.

Ximines was on trial with Cercle last season for several weeks before returning to Jamaica.

The Jamaican is the first winter signing for Cercle Brugge.

Ximines was part of Jamaica College’s (JC) squad for the recently-concluded schoolboy football season. JC won both the Manning Cup and Champion Cup.
