Detectives from the Half-Way Tree Criminal Investigations Branch (CIB) are probing the circumstances surrounding the killing of a woman on Grayden Avenue in St Andrew on Monday, April 25.

The deceased has been identified as 29-year-old Saffia Davy, a Jamaican who resided in the United Kingdom.

Reports are that about 11:30 am, a property manager found Davy unresponsive inside a bathroom, and summoned the police.

On arrival of law enforcers, her body was seen lying face down in blood.

The scene was processed and the body was removed to the morgue, pending a post-mortem examination.

Meanwhile, the detectives are seeking the assistance of the public in locating Leighton Dela-Haye of James Hill district in Clarendon as a person of interest in relation to Davy’s murder. Dela-Haye is being asked to report to the Half-Way Tree CIB immediately.
