Late Consul General Alsion Wilson honored for her exceptional service in advancing Jamaica’s interests overseas

Late Consul General of Jamaica in New York, United States, Alsion Wilson was honored at her funeral yesterday, for her exceptional service in advancing the island’s interests overseas.
She served from July 2019 to 2025 and was awarded the Commander of the Order of Distinction (CD) for her outstanding contributions.
Mrs. Wilson passed away on Sunday, November 8.
While delivering his tribute, Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness said Mrs. Wilson elevated Jamaica’s vision across the diaspora during her tenure.
Meantime, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Kamina Johnson-Smith noted that Mrs Wilson, will be remembered for her impact and enduring legacy.
