Male JP reportedly robbed and indecently assaulted in St Andrew | Loop Jamaica

A justice of the peace (JP) was reportedly robbed and assaulted in Red Hills, St Andrew last Friday.

Following the incident, four males, including two teenagers, were taken into custody. They have since been charged with robbery with aggravation, indecent assault and assault occasioning bodily harm.

Those charged are a 17-year-old of a St Thomas address; 38-year-old Troy Williams of Burnside Valley district, Red Hills in St Andrew; 24-year-old Devaye Stewart of Delacree Park, St Andrew; and 18-year-old Nickel Hutchinson of Pouyatt Street, Kingston 12.

The 17-year-old has not been named because of his age.

Reports from the police are that about 4:30 pm on Friday, April 15, the JP went to the home of Williams to collect an item. He reportedly entered the premises, where he was robbed and assaulted by all four males.

The now accused persons then allegedly took the victim to a section of Red Hills Road, where they left him.

The JP reported the matter to the police, and all four suspects were subsequently arrested and later charged.

Their court date is being finalised.
