Portmore Holdings Limited, a subsidiary of the Tewani Group, celebrated the official opening of its latest development project, GTECH Park Building 2, located on the Municipal Boulevard in Portmore, St Catherine.
The completion of Building 2 marks an expansion of the operating space for its tenant, ibex, a global Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) company,
Spanning five acres of land, GTech Park is designed to provide world-class features across three buildings, totaling 240,000 square feet of space for BPO operations.
Building 2, in particular, brings approximately 1,500 new jobs through its lease arrangement with ibex and can accommodate up to 4,500 individuals per shift. The presence of ibex’s facility took centre stage during this significant milestone, solidifying Portmore Holdings Limited’s commitment to the local real estate and BPO market in Jamaica, as well as its growing presence in Portmore since the debut of the first building in 2021.
Aubyn Hill, the Minister of Investment and Industry, expressed pride in the growth and development of the business process outsourcing sector.
He commended Managing Director Gordon Tewani and his company for their remarkable impact on the local real estate and BPO market, specifically within the thriving Portmore community.
Minister Hill stated, “This is a momentous occasion for me, and I want to say how proud this government is to be associated with such a developer as Gordon Tewani for his contribution to increasing the competitiveness of the BPO sector in Jamaica, through GTECH Park and the addition of Building 2 in this thriving worker community of Portmore – which has an impressive trove of young, skilled and motivated workers.”

Anjana Tewani, a representative of Portmore Holdings Limited, also expressed pride in the company’s achievements since the groundbreaking ceremony for GTECH Park on December 4, 2019.
She acknowledged the success of the project and extended gratitude to all the stakeholders who played a role in making it possible.
Tewani stated, “For the past five years, we have remained resolute in meeting the demand for the rapidly growing BPO industry and contributing meaningfully to the economic and infrastructural development journey of Portmore, as well as the economic growth of Jamaica.”
The Tewani Group, led by commercial real estate development mogul Gordon Tewani and his wife Diana, is a prominent Jamaican-based commercial real estate company. Their significant impact on the local retail and real estate industries includes the establishment of Mall and Tropical Jewellery stores, as well as notable real estate endeavours across the island, such as the Fairview Shopping Centre in Montego Bay and several commercial properties in the Kingston and Portmore.
