‘Red Man’ from Black Lane allegedly caught with ‘nine’ in waistband | Loop Jamaica

A Smith and Wesson semi-automatic pistol and a magazine containing twelve 9mm cartridges were reportedly seized by the St Andrew South Police Division Crime team during a snap raid in Palm Grove Housing Scheme, St Andrew on Saturday, April 9.

Reports indicate that about 11:20 pm, law enforcers were conducting an operation in the community when a group of men, upon seeing the security team, ran.

The law enforcers gave chase and a man was held.

He was searched and the weapon with the ammunition was reportedly taken from his waistband.

The man was later charged in relation to the find and seizure.

Charged is 20-year-old Miguel Turner, otherwise called ‘Red Man’, a construction worker of Back Lane off Spanish Town Road, St Andrew.

His court date is being finalised.
