Early Childhood Educator On Importance Of Schooling At That Level

Principal of Cornwall Gardens Basic School in St James, Sonia Powell, believes that a strong foundation at the early childhood education level will augur well for Jamaica, including in relation to the country’s crime rate.

She told Loop News that if children cannot count from one to 10 at the early childhood education level, the community at large will be impacted.

Powell has been an educator for more than 30 years.
