Suspected gang members charged following big St James operation Loop Jamaica

Three persons who are suspected to be members of the Only The Family Gang have been charged following an intelligence-led operation in Green Pond, St James on Thursday, July 13.

Charged are:

48-year-old Sheryl McCallum, a businesswoman ,21-year-old Tishell Bernard, a customer service representative and 26-year-old Remoy Farquharson, a businessman.

The defendants are all of Green Heights Mews, Green Pond, St James.

The three were charged with:

1) Stockpiling of prohibited weapons,

2) Dealing in prohibited weapons

3) Possession of prohibited weapons (16 counts)

4) Unauthorised possession of ammunition

5) Possession of assorted parts of firearms

6) Unauthorised use of premises for storage of firearms and ammunition

7) Possession of criminal property.

Reports are that about 4:30 am, a team from the Joint Anti-Gang Task Force (JAGTF) carried out an operation at a premises that was occupied by the three accused.

A search was conducted, which resulted in the seizure of several firearms, along with ammunition, monies and other military paraphernalia.

McCallum, was charged on Friday, July 14 following a question-and-answer interview in the presence of her attorney.

On Sunday, July 16, Bernard and Farquharson were charged following a question-and-answer session with their attorney.

Their court date is being finalised.
