A taxi operator was attacked and shot dead on Washington Boulevard, St Andrew on Thursday.
Reports are that the taxi operator was traveling on the busy thoroughfare and stopped at a bus stop at the intersection of Ken Hill Drive, Pembroke Hall, and Washington Boulevard when he was held up by criminals.
Sources claimed he was robbed and then shot by the criminals who then made their escape from the location.
The police were called to the scene of the crime and the body of the man removed
The incident caused a major traffic pile-up along the roadway.
