Wear pink, read the dress code for the audacious invitation to the Gordon’s Premium Pink brunch at Broken Plate in Kingston.

The invite-only shindig brought together ladies who imbibe and the local owners of the English brand, Gordon’s — Red Stripe, a Heineken company — to an afternoon of indulgence and launch of the brand’s new market offering: the Gordon’s Premium Pink Distilled Gin.

The memo was clear: wear your finest shades of pink and make it whimsical. Adding a phone booth for photo ops and violinist Kamoy Gordon set the tone for brunch. Welcome cocktails were the Gordon’s Gin Premium ‘Pinky Promise’ or the ‘I See Pinky’.

It was quite natural for Red Stripe Brand and Corporate PR Manager Tyheissa Williams to adhere to the pink dress code. Client Service Manager at CoCreate Caribbean Zhané Padmore, stylishly paired her hot pink crop top and blush pink palazzo with a fuschia ‘Telfie’ and tribal necklace to match.

The pink theme was beautifully reflected in the restaurant’s interior. Hor d’oeuvres on entry and a buffet spread of the house favourites meant it was time to indulge the scrumptious brunch options prepared by head chefs and co-owners Damion Stewart and Kwasi Henry.
