Residents try to retrieve the car that was swept away in floodwaters in Monetgo Bay, St James on Tuesday.
The motor car that was swept away by floodwaters on Tuesday when the Barnett River in Montego Bay, St James overflowed its banks has been found.
However, the search is still on for one of the four occupants who had been in the car during Tuesday’s downpour. Two of them were rescued on Tuesday, and a body found later that evening is believed to be that of the third individual, a 12-year-old girl.
The vehicle was found by an emergency search team that has been scouring the river since it was swept away with the child and her grandmother.
The search continues for the elderly woman.
