Head of the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM), Commander Alvin Gayle says 1061 people are still in shelters.
According to him, some 101 shelters remain open across seven parishes.
He said the Local Government Ministry continues to work to have these individuals relocated from the shelters.
There are two parishes without persons in shelters: St. Catherine and Clarendon.
Meanwhile, Commander Gayle said the ODPEM has distributed about 40,000 emergency shelter-related items.
