National Commercial Bank (NCB) Jamaica announced that its banking platforms and mobile app services have been fully restored following an unexpected outage earlier today.
In a post on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), NCB informed customers of the service restoration and expressed appreciation for their patience during the disruption.
Earlier, the bank had notified users that its business and personal online banking platforms, along with the mobile app, were temporarily unavailable. The outage, which occurred on payday, caused frustration among customers who rely on the platform for transactions.
Several social media users voiced their concerns, citing the inconvenience of the outage on a crucial day. One user even suggested that the system had been down before the bank's official notification on Wednesday.
