Eight people were shot, four fatally by unknown assailants at a party in Westmoreland Monday night.
Reports are that at about 10:30pm patrons were at a party in Leamington in the Bethel Town police area, men when a group of men exited a motor vehicle and opened fire.
After the shooting subsided, eight people were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.
They were transported to the hospital, where four victims were pronounced dead and the others admitted for treatment.
Investigators from the Major Investigations Division have commenced their probe into the incident.
