Alleged main street shooter in Manchester turns in himself to police

Several charges have been laid against a man who is accused of having opened gunfire at another man on Main Street in Porus, Manchester on Wednesday, September 25.

The accused is 24-year-old Jamar Plummer, otherwise called ‘Dun’, of Trinity district in the parish.

He has been charged with wounding with intent, possession of a prohibited weapon, unauthorised possession of ammunition and using a firearm to commit a felony.

Reports from the Porus police are that about 7:50 am, Plummer, who was driving a motorcycle, attacked a man and opened gunfire, hitting the man in the face.

Plummer then reportedly fled the scene.

On Monday, September 30, Plummer was brought into custody by his attorney.

He was subsequently charged and is to appear in the Manchester Parish Court in Mandeville on Wednesday, October 9.
