The suspect in the hit-and-run of an on duty police officer in St James is now in police custody.
He surrendered to the police on Saturday, in the presence of his attorney, the police high command has reported.
The critically injured constable remains in hospital.
The police say they have also located the motor vehicle involved in the hit-and-run incident.
The vehicle, a white 2016 Toyota Probox was discovered in Blackshop, Amity Hall.
"Investigators were able to identify the owner of the vehicle and revealed that it was being driven at the time by Dillon Reid, also known as "Bulby" or "CJ," of Blackshop, Amity Hall," the police high command said in a release.
"The JCF commends members of the public for their vigilance and cooperation that influenced the rapid progress made in the investigation," the police high ccommand further stated in the release.
