The National Water Commission (NWC) has advised that operation at the Dantrout facility in St James has been temporarily suspended due to mechanical challenges.

As a result, customers in St James and Westmoreland who are served by the facility, are presently without public water supply.

The NWC said every effort is being made to restore water to the affected areas within the shortest possible time.

The affected areas in St James include Dantrout and Retrieve.

This is while the affected areas in Westmoreland include Marchman Road, German Town, Seaford Town, St Leonard, Mountain Spring, Coffee Ground, Chesterfield and Gardener.
