The National Water Commission (NWC) has advised that the Hanbury Pumping Station in Clarendon is now out of operation as a result of a mechanical problem with the pumping unit.

The development has resulted in disruption in water supplies to customers who are normally served by the pumping facility.

The commission, in a release on Tuesday, said as soon as an assessment of the situation is completed, the affected customers will be informed of the projected date for the restoration of service from the pumping station.

The NWC said in the interim, water is to be trucked to the affected areas upon request.

The areas which are impacted are Longville Park Phase 3, Palmetto Meadows and Toby Abbot Heights

The NWC has asked the affected customers to be patient during the period of service disruption.
