How and when to report an issue using the Uber app

The safety and satisfaction of its customers continue to be the top priorities for Uber.

If users have experienced any challenges during their lease, they are encouraged to report the issue by filing a report.

Below, the company has shared a simple step-by-step guide to help users navigate the process smoothly, either from the Uber app or from a computer.

The best part is, for users, reporting an issue is a breeze. Steps to reporting via the Uber app.

1 Open the Uber app. Start by launching the Uber app on your phone.

2 Go to your account. Tap on the profile icon to access your account.

4     Access help. Once you tap ‘Help’, you will be directed to the support options.

4 Select ‘Help with a Trip’. Go to ‘Trips’ and select the specific trip you want to report.

5 Choose the relevant issue. Once the lease is selected, from the ‘Help’ menu, select ‘Report safety issue’  then select the issue that best describes your experience.

6 Describe the situation. In the provided field, add the details of your issue. Be as specific as possible so our team can assist you quickly and accurately.

7 Submit. Once you’ve completed all the details, click ‘Submit’. Our 24/7 support team will diligently work to resolve your issue as fast as possible.

These new tools are added to the over 30 safety tools and features in the Uber app in Jamaica, available for all products. They include:

PIN code

Users receive a randomly generated four-digit code that they must provide in person to the lessor partner to start the lease, ensuring they are getting into the correct vehicle.

RideCheck

This feature uses GPS and other sensors in the user’s and lessor partner’s smartphones to detect anomalies, such as unexpected long stops and offers several options if needed.

Insured leases

All leases through the Uber app in Jamaica are covered by insurance from Guardian Life. The coverage applies to personal accidents and civil liability and is automatically activated when the lessor partner accepts the lease and ends when the last user exits the vehicle.
