Investigators attached to the Kingston Eastern Policing Division seized one Pietro Berretta .38 revolver and eight .38 rounds of ammunition during an operation on Michael Manley Boulevard in the parish on Thursday October 17.
Charged are 50-year-old Winston Bailey, a taxi operator of Glaspole Avenue, Kingston 2 and 31-year-old Richard Edwards otherwise called ‘Richie’, a carpenter of Vernon Avenue, Kingston 3.
Reports from the Elletson Road Police are that at about 1:50 pm, lawmen were conducting a vehicular check point (VCP) when a Nissan AD wagon was signalled to stop.
The driver complied. A search was conducted and the firearm and ammunition were seized.
The two men occupying the vehicle were taken into custody.
