Golding Speaks On Poll

Opposition Leader Mark Golding says the latest Don Anderson poll results which show him surpassing Prime Minister Andrew Holness in  favorability rating among voters is a step in the right direction. According to the poll, published on Thursday, 36 per cent of respondents said they favoured the People's National Party (PNP) leader, with Prime Minister Holness trailing behind at 32.5 per cent. "Well I think it's a continuation of a trend that has been going on for over a year now. It was reflected in the results in the local government elections in February where the PNP won the popular vote quite handsomely and also won the major councils as well. So I think the work we've been doing, the message that we have been sending to the people, all of these things have helped to improve my own personal favourability and so on." But while he is encouraged by the poll results, Mr. Golding said he is not complacent.
