The St Elizabeth police seized two firearms and twenty rounds of ammunition during an operation on the Gutters main road, Santa Cruz in the parish on Friday, November 01.
Reports from the Black River Police are that at about 1:30 pm, a team of officers were in the area when they saw a motor vehicle with two men aboard driving along the roadway.
The driver was signaled to stop— he complied— the men and the vehicle were searched. During the search of the motor vehicle, two 9mm pistols along with twenty 9mm rounds of ammunition were seen in their position.
Two men were taken into custody, however, their identities are being withheld pending further investigation.
