Water woes for some NWC customers in St Elizabeth, Westmoreland

Customers served by the Fustic Grove Re-lift facility in St Elizabeth have been advised that the National Water Commission (NWC) is working to restore operation at the facility by Friday, November 29, 2024.

In the meantime, the customers may call the St Elizabeth office at 876-966-4018, 876-966-3031 or 876-966-4713 to request trucked water.

The affected areas include Fustic Grove, Top Darlintober, Middle Darlintober and surrounding areas.

Meanwhile, the commission is also experiencing operational challenges at it Bulstrode Treatment Plant in Westmoreland.

Customers served by the plant have been advised that the facility is currently operating at 50 per cent capacity due to mechanical challenges. As a result, water is being regulated to the supplied areas.

The customers have also been advised that operation at the facility will be suspended on Friday, November 15 between the hours of 9am and 7pm to facilitate maintenance work.

The affected areas include Burnt Savannah, Grange Hill, Toll Gate, Fullersfield, Paul Island, Alma, Little London, Glasgow, Herring Piece, Broughton, Old Hope, New Hope, sections of Rock Spring, and Bay Road.

The NWC has urged patience and understanding from the customers who are affected by the service disruptions.
