Homemade firearm seized during operation in Kingston Central

Police in St Andrew Central police seized one homemade firearm and four rounds of ammunition was seized during an operation on Barbican Road, Kingston 6 on Monday, January 20.

Reports are that at about 11:00 am, lawmen were conducting an operation in search of a wanted man in the area.

During the search, they discovered a duffel bag, hidden under some construction implements.

The bag was retrieved and closer examination revealed the homemade firearm and ammunition inside.

No one was arrested in relation to the seizure.

Investigation continues.
