Woman dies after ‘Bimmer’ overturns in St James

A BMW motorcar which was involved in a fatal crash in St James early on Sunday morning.

A female occupant died as a result of injuries she sustained in a single-vehicle crash on the Lilliput main road in St James early on Sunday morning.

The deceased has been identified as 24-year-old Brittany McKenzie of a St James address.

Reports are that sometime after 3am, a white BMW motorcar was being driven towards Montego Bay when the driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned.

The four occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries and were taken to hospital, where McKenzie was pronounced dead on arrival.

The other injured persons were admitted for treatment.

The St James police are investigating the incident.
