Recently appointed senators Audrey Marks and Delano Seiveright were sworn in on Monday at King’s House in the Andrew Holness-led government.

Marks, a former Ambassador to the United States, has been named Minister without Portfolio in the Office of the Prime Minister, with responsibility for Efficiency, Innovation, and Digital Transformation.

Seiveright, a former senior adviser and strategist in the tourism ministry, has been promoted to the executive as State Minister for Tourism.

Prime Minister Holness expressed confidence in the capabilities of both ministers, describing their appointments as strategic steps towards advancing the administration’s goals of modernising government operations and strengthening the tourism sector.

These efforts align with the ASPIRE growth strategy introduced by Holness in November 2024.

ASPIRE focuses on six key pillars: access to economic opportunity for All (Inclusive Growth); safety and security; people (human capital development); infrastructure development; reform of the bureaucracy (ease, speed, and cost of doing business); economic diversification and new industries.

Both Marks and Seiveright have affirmed their commitment to advancing the ASPIRE strategy, aiming to leverage their roles to contribute to Jamaica's long-term economic and social development, a Jamaica House statement said.
