Ministry of Economic Growth and Infrastructure Development gets bulk of budgetary allocation for Hurricane Melissa relief

The Ministry of Economic Growth and Infrastructure Development will be getting the bulk of the budgetary allocation for Hurricane Melissa response and relief.
Finance Minister Fayval Williams says $7.2 billion will go to the ministry.
She outlined the allocations in the third supplementary budget, while presenting in parliament yesterday.
The Government has allocated an overall $29.3 billion for hurricane response and relief.
The ministry’s allocation includes procurement for over 3 thousand container housing units.
And she said $3.4 billion will go to the Tourism Ministry to help support affected workers, among other things.
