INDECOM probing fatal police shooting of two men in Mountain View, St Andrew

The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the fatal police shooting of two men along 11th Lane, in Mountain View, St Andrew, yesterday.

The names of the deceased have not been released.

Reports are that at about 4:00 PM, lawmen in the area intercepted a motor car with several men aboard.

Its alleged that men exited the car, armed with handguns.

The officers confronted the men, and a shoot-out ensued.

When the shooting subsided, 2 men were found with gunshot wounds.

They were taken to hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Its reported that guns were also seized.

The latest incident pushes the number of people killed by the security forces since the start of the year to 285.
