Four females died in a collision along the Font Hill main Road in St Elizabeth yesterday.

The deceased are aged 30, 17, 12 and 10.

Reports are that about 5:30 pm,  the four were travelling in a Toyota Voxy , when the driver swerved  right and into the path of a freightliner motor truck  causing a head on collision.

The driver and passengers  were taken to hospital with multiple injuries and were pronounced dead.

Vice Chairman of the National Road safety Council  , Dr. Lucien Jones says there are a number of questions to be answered relating to safe roads, speeding  among other issues.

Dr Jones is concerned about fatalities for the rest of the year , if certain regulations are not implemented.
