NSWMA to soon turn attention to rural areas to remove hurricane Melissa debris

State Minister for Local Government and Community Development Delroy Williams says in short order, the National Solid Waste Management Authority (NSWMA) will turn its attention to rural areas, to remove hurricane Melissa debris.

Noting that under the national clean-up initiative, attention is being placed on western parishes which were hardest hit, Mr. Williams says the efforts are going well.

He says rural areas of the devastated parishes will soon be targeted.

He spoke this morning at the national leadership prayer service, held at first church of the open bible in Montego Bay, St. James.

The service is part of the national leadership prayer week, as Jamaica continues to recover from the devastating effects of hurricane Melissa.
