Minister of Agriculture Floyd Green says farmers are being affected by excess production in some crops as the tourism sector remains in its recovery process.
Both sectors were affected significantly by the passage of Hurricane Melissa last year.
Hotels usually acquire produce from local farmers.
Speaking at a press briefing today Mr. Green said the current uptake levels of certain crops remain uneven.
Despite the challenges, Mr. Green said farmers have shown resilience since the passing of the hurricane, as they have returned to production.
