Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has indicated that the government is preparing to implement policies and programmes, aimed at ensuring that the country’s financial system can support resurgence and resilience.

He was speaking last evening at the Jamaica Stock Exchange Regional Investments and Capital Markets Conference.

He noted the need for the regulatory regime to evolve.

Dr. Holness said after being impacted by the Covid pandemic, drought, heavy rains, and 2 devastating hurricanes, Jamaica is still standing.
