Police officers in leadership positions are being urged to effect change through moral courage.
The charge came from Supreme Court Judge Justice Simone Wolfe Reece, while delivering the key note address yesterday at the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s officer and inspector development programme graduation ceremony, at the National Police College in St. Catherine.
Eighty-two sergeants and sixty-eight inspectors completed the development programme and will advance to the ranks of inspector and deputy superintendent of police, respectively.
Justice Wolfe Reece called on the cops to choose integrity over convenience.
She stressed that their conduct will define their credibility.
