A strong cold front is forecast to enter the western Caribbean this weekend.
The Met Service says it is projected to impact weather conditions across Jamaica from Saturday night through early next week.
Consequently, the island is expected to experience significantly cooler temperatures.
Additionally, strong, gusty winds are expected, especially across northern parishes and hilly areas.
Generally cloudy conditions with increased periods of showers are expected to affect most parishes.
Fishers and other marine interests should exercise caution as sea conditions will deteriorate due to very strong near gale force winds from Saturday night through early next week.
