Three people were killed in separate crashes in St. Catherine and Trelawny this morning.
One of the deceased has been identified as 58-year-old Terry Dwyer of Spanish Town, St. Catherine.
Dwyer was killed in a crash along Johns Road in St. Catherine.
Reports are that at about 8:25 AM, he was a passenger in a motor car, which hit another vehicle and crashed into a utility pole.
Dwyer sustained injuries and was pronounced dead at hospital.
And the police say 2 unidentified persons were killed in a crash along the Carey Park main road in Trelawny at around 8:30 AM.
The crash involved a grey 2011 Toyota Axio motor car and a blue Nissan X-Trail motor truck.
Vice Chairman of the National Road Safety Council, Dr. Lucien Jones said with three fatalities, February is off to a bad start.
