FLOW says communities across the island left without service due to rising costs of replacing vandalized equipment

Telecommunications company FLOW, says there are communities across the island without service, because it is unaffordable to replace equipment repeatedly targeted by vandals.
Senior Manager for Government and Regulatory Affairs, Charles Douglas made the revelation during an Office of Utilities Regulation webinar on Friday.
The webinar was entitled: “Utilities Network Vandalism and Theft: The Real Cost.”
Mr. Douglas did not reveal the names of the impacted communities, but noted that the vandals were in essence, capturing these locations as the lack of connection to the network restricts functions.
