Four people were arrested and charged for multiple offences following a major police operation in St. Mary this morning.
The operation involved personnel from the area two Fugitive Apprehension Team, the Public Safety and Traffic Enforcement Branch, the Canine Division, and the Specialised Operations Branch.
Port Maria, Grant’s Town, Highgate, Castleton, Annotto Bay, and Bailey’s Vale were among the communities targeted.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force, says simultaneous targeted raids and vehicular checkpoints were conducted.
It says the message that there is no room for crime or criminals in St. Mary, was clear.
The JCF is encouraging residents to continue working with the police by sharing information and supporting crime-prevention efforts.
