Saniyah’s father, who was wounded in the attack, is being treated at the hospital.
Reports are that at about 4:20 P.M., the father and daughter were in a Black Toyota Voxy when it was fired upon by gunmen.
The child and her father sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to the hospital.
The girl was pronounced dead on arrival, and her father was admitted in serious condition.
Speaking with reporters this morning, Ms. Crawford described the incident as tragic.
She said she is working with the police regarding the safety of the area.
