Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says the next phase of government policy will be focused on violence prevention, with the goal to remove the intention to use ultimate violence.
He made the statement during the meeting of the heads of Jamaica’s diplomatic and consular missions in Kingston today.
Noting that Jamaica has been addressing crime, the Prime Minister said focus must also be placed on violence prevention.
Dr. Holness noted that recommendations from a report done by the Violence Prevention Alliance will be implemented soon.
The Prime Minister pointed out that a consulting firm has been hired to protect Jamaica’s national brand.
