Two men listed as persons of interest in relation to killing of JDF Soldier surrender to police

Two men, who were listed as persons of interest in relation to the death of a member of the Jamaica Defence Force, turned themselves in to lawmen assigned to the Major Investigations Division (MID) yesterday.

The men were being sought by the police following the murder of 24-year-old Private Daniel Crawford on Stephen Lane, Kingston 13, on Tuesday, February 10.

Reports are that at about 8:51p.m., a police team was summoned to the area following reports of explosions.

A search of the area was conducted, during which Crawford was seen with gunshot wounds.

He was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The men in custody are to be interviewed by investigators at MID.

Meanwhile, the police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating three other individuals, also listed as persons of interest.

They are: a woman known as ‘Kim’ as well as a man known only as ‘Shane’ and a man known only as ‘Kevan,’ or ‘Brisco,’ both of Kidd Lane, Kingston 13.
