PSOJ President Patrick Hylton says private sector must place focus on how companies are being managed
President of the Private Sector Organization of Jamaica, Patrick Hylton says although the private sector has shown remarkable resilience over the years, focus must be placed on how companies are being managed.
Mr Hylton acknowledges that while resilience is a good characteristic for businesses to possess, it is insufficient, if true growth is to be realised.
He says growth must start within the company, before it is realised elsewhere.
He was speaking during the Best Managed Companies 2026 and Sponsor Signing Ceremony at the PSOJ’s Kingston office yesterday.
The Best Managed Programme, which operates in more than 45 countries worldwide, including Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago and Jamaica, recognizes privately-owned companies, that demonstrate outstanding business performance, strong leadership and excellence in strategy, culture, innovation and governance.
